Kanonkop

Highlights: One of Cape Point’s most popular hiking enthusiasts is the Kanonkop Trail, which is a 3-hour circular path starting from the visitor center. The Kanonkop trail, named after the old canon at its peak, offers impressive views over False Bay, Cape Point, Buffels Bay Beach, and the prominent Da Gama monument, and it also passes an interesting old lime kiln along the way. The trail only requires a moderate level of fitness, but if you feel less energetic, follow the road to Venus Pools and park near the signs that will lead you up to Kanonkop, a few hundred meters after the Bynes turn.
