MIDDLEBERG HUT VIA DIE GAT

CAMP HIGHLIGHTS:

Similar to our “Een Boom Camp” route, Middleberg hut via Die Gat is a delightful route in the wintertime. This route, a lesser traveled trail, really does become a ghost town in the winter months offering its hikes the feeling of tranquility and having the entire mountain to themselves.

CAMP HIGHLIGHTS:

Take one of the Cederberg’s iconic day hikes, turn it into an overnight hike, and then plan it for wintertime!  This lets you experience this normally well-traveled route, almost by yourself, and, with it being a relatively short route, it won’t break your legs or back either.
